Welcome to Mrs. Castaneda’s 4th grade!
Welcome to an exciting new year. I am pleased to be your child’s teacher and thrilled to have you in my class. I look forward to getting to know each of you. It’s going to be a fun year filled with lots of learning. We will definitely be working hard in this class, but we will have fun doing it. I want us to work closely together as the year progresses.
Let me introduce myself by telling you a few things about me. My name is Crystal Castaneda. I am married and have three kids. In the summer we love to spend time outdoors. I graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. I have an ESL endorsement. I received training in Early Steps, Next Steps, and Higher Steps from the University of Utah Reading Clinic.
I believe that my role as a teacher is to provide student centered curriculum while providing students the knowledge, values, and skills essential to live successful meaningful lives in an ever-changing society. I believe every student’s ethnicity should be celebrated and valued. I also believe every student can bring a unique cultural contribution to the classroom.
